September 25, 2024 proved to be a productive day for gathering stories about Seth. Lululemon of Cool Springs, where Seth is an ambassador, allowed us to use the courtyard in front of their store. The idea was to make myself available and people would just show up, so I could save some time in setting up and tearing down all the time. The hard part was getting people to know about and have available schedule to show up.

Luckily, I had two ladies that absolutely adore Seth and were able to come for back-to-back interviews. The forecast was threatening rain and this was an outdoor shoot, so I setup a 12’x12′ tent. I also had another issue with this location: power. There were no working outlets in the courtyard. So, we did this one without lights and just relied on natural lighting.

The first up was Leigh Anne Duvall. I had never met her before this day. She was recommended by someone that would be perfect for the project and whomever that was, they were right. Since I hadn’t been running with the group for many years, I was unfamiliar with many of the “new” faces.

I just love Seth!

Little did I know, I was face-to-face with Seth’s number one fan. I may be a bit tongue and cheek there, but it was apparent that Seth has made a huge impact on her life, by just caring and listening. She shared how she lost her mother a few months prior to the interview and that Seth was able to connect her “slyly” to other runners who recently lost a parent.

She talks about how a simple act of a hug and that connection would be the highlight of her week. In our busy lives we forget about the simplicity of a moment of showing people that the matter and that you care. The stories Leigh Anne shared are testimony to how something that seems so small can make a huge impact.
