On September 24, 2024 I met sweet Abby at the Coffee House at 2nd and Bridge. She reached out through a Facebook post on the Franklin Road Runners page.
This was not a great location to shoot with a boom mic. I wish I had a lav to get her audio better isolated, but hindsight is 20/20. I do love the Coffee House though and this is the second project they let me use their location for.
Abby was the youngest person to do a sit-down interview. She is new to the group after recently graduating college. As a high school and college XC runner, she knows all about runnng in community and loves how she was welcomed into her new group. She said Seth was always so friendly and a great encourager while she trained for a marathon.
Yes, I always heard he’s like the President of Tennessee.
She had this great quote that I had to put in there as people were talking about the running mayor. We don’t currently have a President of Tennessee, but I am all for nominating Seth for the position.
The most difficult part of editing a project like this is cutting out parts that don’t work for the story. Unfortunately, Abby was one that didn’t get much screen time. Most of it is my fault due to not having the proper mic setup. She did get to do the personal message to Seth at the end of the theatrical release, but I do apologize to Abby. Nonetheless, her contribution is still appreciated and I know Seth loved seeing her on the screen.
